A product variant, e.g. for T-shirts, “red, size M” has a different article number than the same T-shirt “blue, size L”

EPR

FBA

Fulfilment by Amazon (Amazon fulfills orders from their own warehouse to the order address, for an additional fee. They also handle additional tasks related to orders: exchanges, complaints, etc.)

FBM

Fulfilment by Merchant (The seller arranges the delivery for himself using a courier company such as GLS, DHL, etc.)

Trademark registration

The term brand trademark refers to a recognizable sign, phrase, word, or symbol that identifies a particular product and legally distinguishes it from all other similar products. A trademark identifies the product as belonging exclusively to a particular company and recognizes the company's ownership of the brand. (Officially filed registration.)

Market Arbitrage

Arbitrage is the practice of taking advantage of price differences between two or more markets, in other words, reselling. In this case, retail arbitrage is the process of buying discounted products from retailers (including online retailers) to resell on Amazon, for example.

Product Insert

Extra information included in product packaging (discount on further purchases, request for evaluation, contact details, etc.)

UPC/EAN/Barcode

Unique product codes that Amazon requires to track products. It is recommended to obtain these from GS1.

Variations

Product variations. For example, when there are multiple colors or multiple sizes of a given product type. (Clothing sizes, image sizes, etc.)

VAT Services

Request a local tax number for local sales and inventory storage.

The duration of the process varies from country to country.

VAT returns and current data reporting are handled by contracted tax advisory partners within the framework of Amazon and the VAT Calculations service.

For sales in a given country, the VAT rate is used for invoicing. (E.g. 19% in Germany)
